Samsung Enhances Wearables with Galaxy AI Features
Samsung is set to enhance its wearable devices, such as Galaxy Watches and the upcoming S24 series, with advanced Galaxy AI features aimed at promoting health and wellness. These features, to be incorporated into the Samsung Health app and Galaxy Watches later this year, include a diverse range of health metrics and personalized insights. Users can look forward to functionalities such as Energy Score, Wellness Tips, Sleep Insights, and specific metrics for athletes like Aerobic/Anaerobic Thresholds and Functional Threshold Power. A beta version will be available for select Galaxy Watches in June, with a broader release in the US and Canada scheduled for the following month through the Samsung Members app.
The Energy Score will analyze various health metrics to offer users a comprehensive understanding of their daily condition, while Wellness Tips will provide personalized advice to help achieve health goals. Samsung is also improving its AI sleep algorithm to offer detailed statistics on sleep quality, aiming to help users develop healthier sleeping habits.
For fitness enthusiasts, the update will introduce detailed metrics for running and cycling, including Aerobic/Anaerobic Threshold Heart Rate Zones and Functional Threshold Power, to aid in performance analysis and training. Additionally, the new Workout Routine feature allows for customized workouts, and the Race feature helps track progress on running or cycling routes.
These enhancements are part of Samsung’s commitment to delivering intelligent health experiences through its wearable devices, leveraging AI to offer users detailed health analytics and personalized wellness advice.
