DACFP Endorses SEC’s Spot Ethereum ETF Approval

Ric Edelman Highlights Bitcoin and Ethereum as Crypto Leaders with New ETF Milestone

In a recent announcement hailed as a landmark moment for the cryptocurrency market, the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals (DACFP) celebrated the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s approval of spot Ethereum Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). This move, indicative of the growing acceptance and legitimacy of digital assets in mainstream investment management, was lauded by Ric Edelman, founder of DACFP and a highly acclaimed financial advisor. Edelman likened Bitcoin and Ethereum to the “Coke and Pepsi of crypto,” forecasting that the introduction of spot ETFs for these currencies would not only lead to an expansion in investment opportunities through additional ETFs featuring combinations, leverage, and active management but also drive up the prices of these assets.

The approval of spot Ethereum ETFs is seen as a pivotal development, providing financial advisors, institutional investors, and retail investors with cost-effective, straightforward access to Ethereum through a familiar, transparent, and liquid investment vehicle. This follows the enthusiastic reception and significant asset flows into spot Bitcoin ETFs launched earlier in the year.

Ethereum, known for its capability to facilitate more complex and flexible financial transactions than Bitcoin through its “programmable money” or “smart contract” platform, is the second-largest digital asset by market cap. Its utility across various industries worldwide makes it a compelling option for portfolio diversification and rebalancing, offering unique attributes alongside Bitcoin.

In light of these developments, DACFP is set to provide education on the new spot Ethereum ETFs at its upcoming VISION conference in Austin, featuring keynote speakers such as MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor and former CFTC Chair Chris Giancarlo. Additionally, DACFP continues to offer its Certificate in Blockchain and Digital Assets online program, aimed at equipping financial professionals, investors, and consumers with essential knowledge on blockchain technology, digital assets, NFTs, tokenization, the metaverse, and regulatory, compliance, and taxation aspects related to crypto.

Founded by Ric Edelman, DACFP stands as the premier provider of crypto education, bridging the financial services industry with the digital assets community through a variety of educational content and events. Their flagship certification program has attracted thousands of financial professionals from around the globe, emphasizing the organization’s pivotal role in the intersection of finance and digital asset innovation.
