New AI Tools and Partnerships from Pinterest
Pinterest is enhancing its advertising platform with new AI-powered tools and measurement partnerships to improve ad performance and brand safety. The company is heavily investing in generative AI to create more engaging and personalized ad formats while automating campaign optimization. A key initiative is the “Ad Labs” innovation program, which includes prototypes like personalized background generation and interactive, shoppable collage ads. These features are already seeing strong engagement in early tests.
Pinterest is also partnering with measurement firms IAS and DoubleVerify to expand brand safety validation. Their Pinterest Performance+ tool, currently in closed beta, utilizes AI to optimize campaigns, showing significant improvements in cost efficiency and reducing campaign setup time by 50%.
Brands like John Lewis, Wayfair, and Bumble are early testers of these new features. Pinterest reports that 99% of measurable ad impressions were rated brand safe during testing. Initially, the collage ads are limited to select brands such as Nike, Wayfair, and NYX Cosmetics, but more advertisers will be included in the future. Pinterest aims to continue evolving its ad platform with further AI-powered upgrades focused on automation and personalization.
