DX.Exchange Launches Secondary Market for Security Tokens

DX.Exchange, an Estonia-based trading platform, has recently announced the expansion of its services to include secondary trading of security tokens. This development allows the exchange to host companies looking to list their previously issued security tokens, enabling institutional investors in Europe to purchase these tokens using fiat currencies or cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ether, tether, and XRP. Initially, DX.Exchange will list its own native IGWT token.
The exchange, which soft-launched in January, is working towards the facilitation of trading for existing security tokens and plans to introduce its own asset tokenization technology in the future. In the meantime, it has pledged to offer 18 million IGWT tokens through a closed security token offering (STO) for a limited period, with a promise of distributing 10 percent of the company’s profits to the token holders.
Currently operating in a closed regime with around 8,000 pre-registered users, DX.Exchange is gearing up for its main launch scheduled for April. The platform at present supports trading in 10 different cryptocurrencies and also allows the purchase and trading of ERC-20 tokens backed by real-world securities, including stocks of major companies like Tesla, Google, Facebook, and Amazon, held by the Cyprus-registered brokerage MPS Marketplace Securities Ltd.
The co-founder of DX.Exchange, Daniel Skowronski, expressed the company’s vision of bridging the gap between traditional financial systems and the new digital economy. He highlighted the potential of tokenization to democratize wealth creation across various social and economic backgrounds. However, due to regulatory constraints, the exchange is not available to U.S. users and there are no immediate plans to enter the American market.
